Border Patrol & ICE Activity in the Whatcom, Skagit and Beyond
It’s been a busy week for federal law enforcement in the Bellingham area, with multiple arrests made by Border Patrol and ICE agents. Here’s a rundown of recent activity:
Lynden, WA (Saturday): Bellingham Station Border Patrol Agents arrested Martin Santos-Guerrero, a previously deported Honduran citizen with a criminal history of felony possession of cocaine, narcotics transportation, and felony distribution.
Bellingham, WA (Saturday): Blaine Border Patrol assisted ICE in arresting Miguel Tomas-Antonio, a previously deported Guatemalan citizen with a record of assault, domestic violence, and harassment.
Oregon City, OR (Monday): Blaine Border Patrol helped ICE arrest Hebert Grueso-Orobio, a Colombian national associated with the South American Theft Group, which has been linked to violent crimes, theft, and armed burglaries in WA and OR.
Burlington, WA (Saturday): Blaine Border Patrol assisted ICE in the arrest of Manuel Ocegada-Alvarez, a previously deported Mexican citizen with prior charges of assault, domestic violence, drug possession with intent, and theft.
Lynden, WA (Thursday): Blaine Border Patrol helped ICE apprehend Rubi Jeronimo-Cruz, an illegal Guatemalan national previously arrested for child rape, DUI, and reckless driving. He is now facing deportation proceedings.
Bellingham, WA (Wednesday): Blaine USBP and HSI assisted ICE ERO in arresting Abraham Avila-Roman, a Mexican citizen who has been deported multiple times since 2016. His record includes DUI, hit and run, drug possession, and eluding police.
Mt. Vernon, WA (Wednesday): Blaine Border Patrol Agents and HSI assisted ICE ERO in arresting Javier Morales-Zamora, a Mexican citizen who illegally entered the U.S. He has previous arrests for DUI, resisting arrest, battery, and obstructing an officer.
